I must remember to use Micro.blog more often…

I’m in two minds about banning Michael Jackson’s music. Many accepted artists are as despicable. I’m sure he’s not the first recorded child abuser in music history, but we still play their music. On the other hand, each air play sends more money into his estate’s coffers.

For a long time I wasn’t impressed with the @WordPress iOS app. It has many limitations and is near useless for proofreading. Yet it’s low joule enough to post stories when you have a feeble internet connection. That’s a valuable feature.

I have a micro.blog as well as my website:

Chelsea draw Manchester United in FA Cup fifth round – as it happened

A true story. It isn’t recent, but it did happen.

Client: You didn’t follow the brief. Me: I’m a journalist. I write facts. When I interviewed people and checked sources it was clear the premise in your brief was untrue. I reported what I found. Client: But that’s not what we asked for. Me: You won’t look stupid. You won’t get sued. Your readers won’t throw X down in disgust. Client: We don’t care. You’re unreliable. You’ll never work for us again.
