Modern etiquette question.
How rude is it if I never answer those damn customer service surveys?
I used to answer them honestly, but that turns out to be a huge problem.
I now almost always trash the survey emails. Once in a while I choose to do the survey — not sure what factors are at play for me there.
My time is too valuable. Survey responses now tend to get added to a database tied to your identity so they can be used for future marketing to you. Not my cup of tea. I make exceptions only for small local organizations and even then only if I have something useful to contribute.
